Closing Out the Year

Closing Out the Year Hey guys, Its April, and weve all been in school since late August. Were tired. Were burnt out. We need summer break to come soon. These are all things I start hearing from my fellow students right around this time of year, and theyre right. We have been in school for awhile now, and we are tired, but this is not the time to let up. Now more than any other part of the school year is the time to buckle down. In  the fall semester when you finish your finals, you understand that youll only be on break for about a month, and even when you do itll be cold and snowy. But spring semester is another animal entirely. The days are starting to warm up, people are getting restless, and the summer is beckoning for us to enjoy it! But we cant not yet, at least. Whether in high school or college, finishing a semester is a difficult and daunting prospect; add in sun, shorts, and a sudden onset of ADHD and its seemingly impossible. But it is, guys, it really is. Trust me, this is my fourth year doing so, and Ive managed to survive all this time. And if I can, youll be able to too! Until next time, Kenny Kenny Class of 2016 I’m in the Creative Writing program in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. I’m originally from Tampa, Florida, but I’ve been calling Illinois my home since 1998. I’ve lived all over the Northwest suburbs, from Palatine to Lakemoor to where I currently live back home, Mundelein.
